Alec Borisoff, Milbank, Milbank LLP

Alexander Borisoff is a partner in Milbank LLP’s New York office and member of the firm’s project, energy and infrastructure finance group. He has almost 20 years’ experience representing project sponsors, financial institutions, export credit and multilateral development agencies and other project participants in a wide range of US and cross-border project and structured financings and investment transactions, with a particular emphasis on mining, oil and gas, infrastructure and power-related financings. He has significant experience working on complex multi-sourced financings and in recent years has led teams acting on behalf of agency lenders, commercial banks and other finance providers on eight financings that have received ‘Deal of the Year’ recognition. Alec has been recognised as a leading project finance lawyer by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal, and was also named as a leading lawyer in both banking and project finance by IFLR. He regularly speaks at industry conferences and has recently contributed to and co-authored book chapters on public-private partnerships (published by Kluwer Law International) and official funding sources (published by Oxford University Press), as well as regularly publishing articles appearing in Project Finance International, Infrastructure Journal, and other leading industry publications.

Aled Davies, Milbank LLP

Aled Davies is a partner in Milbank LLP’s Tokyo office. Based in Japan for over 20 years, Aled regularly represents key stakeholders, including sponsors, lenders and export credit agencies, on the development and financing of, and acquisition of interests in, large-scale infrastructure and energy projects throughout the world, including major liquefied natural gas (LNG), refinery, power and mining projects. Aled led the team representing the sponsors on the Ichthys LNG project and is currently advising the sponsors on an LNG development in Papua New Guinea and the export credit agencies and lenders on a world-class petrochemical project and refinery in Malaysia, in addition to advising on a number of conventional and renewable power projects elsewhere. Aled has been listed in Chambers and Partners as a Band 1 lawyer for projects over consecutive years for more than a decade and is recognised as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. He has been included in Euromoney’s  list of top 35 project finance lawyers in the world and listed as one of the top project finance lawyers in the world by Who’s Who Legal.
