Homer E Moyer Jr, Miller & Chevalier Chartered

Homer E Moyer, Jr, the architect of Miller & Chevalier's preeminent international practice, has been recognised as a premier lawyer in multiple international legal fields. He has served in government as a political appointee of both political parties and has developed and guided pro bono projects that have been hailed for their global impact. Regarded as one of the country’s leading Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) lawyers, Mr Moyer is an authority on US and international anti-corruption law. Mr Moyer was the co-founder and chair (1990–2002) of the American Bar Association's Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative (CEELI), which has provided technical legal assistance to emerging democracies of the former Soviet bloc. He founded the CEELI Institute, a postgraduate lawyer and judicial training institution in Prague, is president of Friends of the CEELI Institute, and has served on the board of the American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative since its inception.

Mr Moyer is a past Chair of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association, was the first chair of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association, and will serve as co-chair of the IBA's Rule of Law Forum. He is a past president of the Washington Council of Lawyers, a former member of the board of trustees of the Council for Excellence in Government, a member of the board of trustees of the Center for American and International Law, and a former chair of its Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law.
