Mark Bisset, Clyde & Co LLP


Mark Bisset joined the Clyde & Co aviation finance group in 2009 and is based in London.  


Mark's experience extends to the financing, leasing or purchase of hundreds of aircraft around the world.  He is an aviation specialist who advises in the context of most types of secured and unsecured loan and lease financing (including pre-delivery payments and export credit-supported financing), operating leases, JOLs, tax leases, purchase contract negotiations and most other types of commercial arrangement.

Mark is a recognised expert on the Russian market in particular, where he acts for banks, leasing companies, airlines and business jet owners.

Mark is head of Clyde & Co's aircraft regulatory group and has extensive experience in advising on aviation regulatory matters, especially in relation to the EU emissions trading scheme (EU ETS).

Mark has spoken on aviation finance at numerous conferences across the world, and he has appeared on BBC Breakfast news discussing the EU ETS. Mark has lectured on aviation finance at IATA in Geneva and at Leiden University Institute of Air and Space Law.

Education and Legal Qualifications

Mark was educated at Oxford University. Mark is English qualified (since 1997), and has a strong knowledge of the relevant legal principles in many overseas jurisdictions.
